The Pittston City Police Department believes the best way to head off juvenile crime is by getting the youth of the area involved. They have instituted the Youth Government Program to get area youth involved in various issues affecting our area and to get feedback from the youngsters about what they are concerned about.
The Youth Government is actively involved in various projects throughout the year. Some of the activities they participate in are bringing Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny to town along with various other events like helping out in the town parks during the summer to name just a few.
